JHM Widows

Widows in the western world receive sympathy from family, freinds, in laws, neighbors and all sorts of well wishers rally arouns them, not to mention the strong possibility of being left with savings, a pension or life insurance benefit by the deceaced spouse. But in Pakistan as in India, it is considered acursed to be widowed.  Seen as a bad Omen that the woman is brough bad Luck or some witchcraft influences into the family. 

These women are despised and badly treated in their communities.  They are poor and have NOTHING at all!  This is not right, hence the Apostle James reminded us saying: "Religion that God our Father accepts as pure and faultless is this: to look after orphans and widows in their distress and to keep oneself from being polluted by the world. (James 1:27)
